What makes a champion. Growing up I heard a lot of nonscence from alot of coaches about champions being made. Through hard work and, dedication and determination you can be a championm is what was always said and expressed by coaches and even team mates who i had that actuallu bought into it. But these are aspectsa that are found in only some people. Some Athletes have this state of mind and otheres do not. People are just born with the drive to win and otheres are not. But it dosn't take just having the drive to win in order to win. it also takes the talent and the mentality under preassure to win a real championship. After spending six years of running track and field i watched guys who showed up to relays, regianols, districts and Invitationals, with-out even trying in a race or field event and absolutley dominateing their competeion. I have worked with people over the years who slacked off in practice and somtimes still did not even attend practice and could still show up to a meet knowing they are going to win and dominate everyone and do just that. No matter how much you practice, how many years you put in, how much money you spend on camps and personal practice time. It still will not make a difference in your chances of winning if you go up against someone who is naturally better then you. The outcome is always gonna be the same no matter how much more you want it. When it comes to winning and natuaral ability it does not just apply with athletics. It goes along with everything else in life that includes competeing against others. Acting and singing even dancing. If someone can go out on a stage during an audition and act a scene that they have not even prepaird themselves then bring tears to everyones eyes in the room because they are just a great actor, all of your acting lessons that mom and dad spent hundreds of dollars on are not going to make a difference and land you the part that you want that some other kid is just good at. People spend thousands of dollars everyday on dancing lessons, singing lessons and acting. And still do not improve. For exapmle. anyone who watches American Idol knows that there are alot of terrible singers that go out and make a fool of themselves on national televsion because they believe that they can be the next American Idol. Thousands of people audition for the show for each city that they casting directors travle to, and only like 30 or so get selected. No matter how hard you try if there is just someone who has the gift needed to perform and put on a good show and you dont have it, The other person with the talent who does have it, is gonna be givin the oppratunity to perform, not you. And Any good coach, talent agent, or casting director will tell you that. People are just born with these gifts and abilitys to be great at things in life. And without trying they are handed these oppratunitys to showoff that talent by someone who discovers them. Some of these talents go unoticed through a persons entire life. And there are also people who have a gift at something and they just do not know it. Sweat, blood, tears, time put in, it dosn't matter unless if you are talent wise on the same level as the person accrosed or next to you that you are competeing with. In the end the. The strongest at what they do, and people who know how to use their gifts, are the ones who will when. Because champions are born, not made.
