When it comes to advertisement companies will tell you almost anything that they know will grab your attention so that they can hook you and reel you in to buying their product. How they do this. They go with specific strategies or tactics used through creativity. They attack a specific group of people buy using models, or imagery that they know will catch the viewer’s attention and get the viewer to believe that the model used in the image is perfect because of what the product has done for them. After doing this, this is convincing the viewer to tell them self that they need to buy this product in order to have what the model in the promo has. It seems sketchy but in reality it works more than people would think. If you could think of a time that you saw a commercial and said to yourself, “I wish I could have that,” just because you saw someone else on a commercial with it, then you have experienced what it is like to be sold on lies. For example, someone who were underweight and wanted to become a body builder saw a commercial on a weight gain supplement; and in the commercial it shows a before image of a skinny, thin person who looked less appealing to women. But then it shows an after image, this is the image of the model used for the promo who is now, after taking the product muscular and fit and has ripped bicepts, tricepts and abbs with women all over him. After seeing this commercial, and witnessing a fat guy who had nothing turn into a tank with women all over him, who wouldn’t want to buy this product it seems so amazing. But in reality it is now, because 50/50 chance the product being sold is going to turn out being a waste of money, something that never worked for you. But you thought it would because it worked for the guy on the promotion add for the product. But that was the companies tactic. To attack a specific group, (fat people (men)) and lead them to believe that this would get them on Body build status with women all over them.
Resinal Soap is a product being sold to women through advertisment of a man marrying a women because she has beautiful skin. This advertisment is meant for the female group of women who have not yet experienced the joy of being a bride and having a wedding with family and friends there to watch them on their big day marring the man of their dreams. The advertisment uses a poster promotion tactict by placing a not so much attractive image of a women in a chair sitting in her living room alone starring at a fire and visualizing her-self being wedded. And in the image of the women in the living room it is dark, and there is barley any furniture and she looks all down in the dumps. So in her vision that the poster is displaying is a more attractive version of the women in a wedding dress standing infront of her soon to be spouse and she has a relieved look on her face, and its bright in the room, not dark and depressing. The promo also shows a women alittle further down the page standing in-front of a sink rubbing her-self with the Resinal soap using the product and smiling while she is using the product after have seeing the image of her-self being married.
This advertisment is stating that the women in the poster saw Resinal soap as her only real solution to achieve her dream of being wedded and experiencing the joy of being a bride. And in order for her to do this she had to have a beautiful skin complexion like the one she had imagined her-self having while she was sitting alone in the dark in her living room. In away the promotion kind of uses a scare tactic by placing the women alone by herself with a sad expression her face. The promotion was stating that you are going to be alone in the dark unwedded if you do not fix your complexion. And the only weay to aviod this is to buy Resinal soap and use our product, that is what the promtion was saying buy using a scare tactic.
The promotion also encluded on the advertiment that the product was available at ALL drug stores. BY using the word all and placing the product in every available drug store, the company of the product not only made a neceassary note to use the product but also that is was easy to obtain. so now women see an easly accesable product that was also necessary to buy if you wanted to be married. It becomes a no brianer to buy this product for yourself if you are an unmarried women seeking for happiness with your significant other. Because that is the companys tactic, to sell a specific group (women) on lies with hope that you buy their product that will most likely not have the impact on your life that they are leading you to believe that it will have.
